Our maison d'hôtes overlooks the distinctive village of St Symphorien de Mahun, nestled in the Ardeche Mountains.

The house built witn stones in 19th century, provides 5 rooms for 2 to 4 persons all equipped with private bathroom and toilet, as well as a very spacious dining room of 100m2 with chimney, a library, an astronomical telescope, and several lounges.

Catherine & Christophe prepare the generous meals with Mediterranean influence, with fresh and high quality products from market and small local producers.

Leisure & activities

For your leisure, the following are at your disposal at La Chastanha: a swimming pool, MTBs, an astronomical telescope, a massage salon (see index massage bien-être), and hiking maps.

Our village is a departing point of the marked hiking paths, and possesses 2 medieval churches as well as the ruins of Mahun castle.

Other activities:

bathing in the Gorges du Doux, Safari Parc de Peaugres, Steam train in the Gorges, archaeological site in Soyons, visiting churches and the village of the Middle-Ages, golf 18 holes, hot-air balloon, horse riding, quad bikes,several museums...

and of course lounging away at the pool side, hear the silence, open your eyes to the magical view...taste the simplicity of the life

Holidays in Ardeche differently.We join all together for diner & breackfast.
But don't worry, we speak English.

Outside, a swimming pool, MTBs, swing and slide for kids, a shaded terrace as welle as a magnificent view over the mountains are at your disposal.

For summer, a refrigerator, table and chairs for gardens will be also at your disposal for your pic-nic.

Speciality of the breackfast: homemade jams (50 different varieties) mixed with fruits, spices, honey and flowers...
